Hygienic Research Institute Private Limited (HRIPL) is a prominent Indian beauty and personal care product company specialising in beauty, haircare, skincare and professional products. Our portfolio includes prominent hair care and hair colour brands, Vasmol and Streax. We have also forayed into the world of skincare with our new brand Florozone.
With more than five decades of cutting-edge research, the use of proven natural ingredients and technology tie-ups with the world’s leading cosmetic and research companies, HRIPL products have always delivered products of quality. An ISO 9001: 2015-certified company, HRIPL products adhere to Indian BIS quality standards as well as global FDA standards. Starting with a single manufacturing unit in Mumbai in the 1950s, HRIPL today has six functional production locations in Mumbai, Himachal Pradesh and Guwahati. Its staff of over 700 employees caters to the ever-growing demand for its range of products. HRIPL has partnered with Carin cosmetics, Belgium; and Lisap, Italy; for the procurement of bulk cosmetics and finished imported personal care products.
The Beginning
in Haircare
Driven by hard work and zeal, Dr. S.S. Nishat established the company in 1950. A few years later, Mr. Kailash Chhabra formulated the popular Super Vasmol 33 Kesh Kala.
Expanding
The MIDC unit commenced production. An understanding of the importance of innovation enabled Mrs. Ritika Chhabra to incubate the R&D department. It was also a time of leadership change as Mr. Manish Chhabra became CEO of HRI.
The Birth
HRIPL wanted to change the way women thought about hair colour from ‘covering greys’ to ‘self-expression through colour.’ This led to the beginning of Streax. The company also entered into a technical collaboration for liquid hair colours.
Growing
As we continued our expansion, we launched several products in the hair colour and care range such as Jasmine Hair Oil, Yogiraj Thanda Tel and Powder Hair Colours. We also launched the Streax Professional Division.
Drawing
We appointed Sonakshi Sinha as the brand ambassador of Streax and Akshay Kumar as the brand ambassador for Streax Insta.
A New
Over time, Vasmol has continued renovating itself and, this year we launched the Vasmol Black Hair Oil.
Making
We launched the Streax Insta Shampoo Hair Colour, which makes it quicker and more convenient to get natural-looking black hair.
Next Step
We appointed Kajol as Brand Ambassador for Vasmol.
Latest
We continue innovating for new hair colour and care solutions and also launched the Vasmol Advanced Crème which is a cream hair colour.
